Quality Ceilings was setup in 1975 by Ken Mager and has been based in Elland near the M62 since its conception. Ken spent his early years working as a joiner, working closely with a company called Harrison Bell. Harrison Bell had a large involvement in fitting suspended ceilings, and when a big contract came through for Pontins at Prestatyn that their current ceiling partner couldn’t commit to they looked elsewhere for someone to manage the job.
With them having such a close relationship with Ken, and knowing how reliable, trustworthy and professional he was at his job, they proposed he considered taking up the contract for them.
The contract lasted 4 months, and throughout these 4 months Ken enjoyed learning and understanding everything about suspended ceilings. Soon after Ken decided to start up his own company, realising Joinery wasn’t for him, and named it Quality Ceilings.
Since its inception in 1975, Quality Ceilings has embarked on a remarkable journey of continuous growth, nurturing unparalleled relationships with its valued customers. Through an unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional service and top-notch installations, the company has forged robust and enduring business connections with its esteemed clientele. Noteworthy among its long-standing partners is Marshalls, with whom Quality Ceilings has maintained a fruitful collaboration for over 35 years.
In a pivotal moment for the company in 2007, Craig Sutcliffe, a seasoned professional who had dedicated 23 years to working on the tools and executing installations, assumed the role of managing director. Craig’s profound familiarity with the company and its cherished customers, acquired during his tenure as a dedicated fitter, has proven to be a priceless asset in shaping Quality Ceilings’ continued success and reputation for excellence.
All the staff at Quality Ceilings have many years of experience in the Suspended Ceilings sector, as most of them have been working for the company for over 10 years.
